1. Introduction

Welcome to Ayush Sankalan, the official mobile application of the Department of Ayush, Government of Himachal Pradesh (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use this mobile application (“App”). By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Purpose of the App

The Ayush Sankalan App is developed to support the operations of the Ayush Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh, including but not limited to:

  • Marking attendance of authorized personnel within designated office regions.
  • Managing digital and manual medicine prescriptions.
  • Monitoring medical stock and inventory.
  • Enhancing coordination between doctors, pharmacists, and administrative officers.

3. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

a. Personal Information

  • No personal data is taken — only professional details related to work area are asked (for registered doctors and officials).
  • Login credentials used for official access are registered on the Web Admin Portal.
  • Location data (only for attendance verification within authorized zones).

b. Non-Personal Information

  • Device details (model, OS version, app version, etc.).
  • App usage analytics for performance improvement and troubleshooting.

4. How We Use the Information

The collected data is used exclusively for official and administrative purposes, such as:

  • Verifying attendance and presence in authorized locations.
  • Managing medicine inventory and prescription records.
  • Enabling digital prescription workflows for patients.
  • Ensuring operational efficiency of departmental activities.

We do not sell, rent, or share user data with any third party for commercial use.

5. Data Storage and Security

  • All data is stored on secure government-approved servers in India.
  • We employ encryption, access control, and secure communication protocols (HTTPS).
  • Data access is restricted to authorized departmental personnel.

6. Data Retention

Data will be retained only for as long as required to fulfill the intended official purpose or as mandated by government regulations and archival rules.

7. Account Deletion and Data Removal

Registered users (such as doctors, pharmacists, or departmental staff) may request deletion of their account and associated personal data under the following conditions:

  • When the individual is no longer associated with the Department of Ayush.
  • Upon formal resignation, transfer, or retirement.
  • Upon written request citing valid reasons for data deletion.

How to Request Deletion:

Users can submit an official request by emailing or writing to the department using the contact details below. After verifying identity and authorization, the department will permanently delete the user’s data from the system within 30 working days, except for information required to be retained under applicable government record-keeping laws.

Please note: Once deletion is completed, reactivation will require re-registration and approval by authorized officials.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may use limited third-party APIs (such as location or notification services) solely to perform its official functions. These services adhere to government security policies, and no personal data is shared for commercial use.

9. User Rights

You may:

  • Access and review your stored personal information (where permitted).
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request account or data deletion, as described above.
  • Contact the department for any privacy-related concern.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically to comply with legal or operational updates. The latest version will always be available within the App and on the official department website.
